Its *after* 1 o'clock in the morning: Sunday Six III

As the happy nature of the title of this post suggests, it is a bit late (GMT - 31/05/09) however, I have been completing art coursework.. which has been spanking me like a bitch.

First of all, heres a shout to all our german friends (in Germany) - heres the Dance scene in the UK... :)

Apollo - We Plants Are Happy Plants
My partner in crime got me onto WPAHP about 2 months ago, and their tracks blew me away, with their stunning blend of chilled electro and indie. Anyway, this is probably my favourite track by them ever, so have a listen

Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas (Mr. GASPAR remix)

This fellow knows when to pick a huge pop hit, and turn it into a big club tune. GASPAR did it in 2008 with 'I kissed a Girl', and here he has done it again, coming out, unlike Chew Fu's remix, giving a totally new feel, with a funky mid-tone riff that would tear through children's brains.

California Love - 2Pac (Big Nasty Remix)
This is such a big tune... the original makes me bop like a loony in a psychiatric ward... and when out doing photography one night, this tune was dropped, so I had to search out what it was. Deadmau5 ha5 al5o done a remix of this track, but it'5 too progre55ive for me.

Poker Face - Lady Gaga (LAZRTag Remix)

I've stumbled my way down the commercial route for this post, but fuck it, the crowd go bonkers for a commercial hit or two that they know in the set.. This again turns a huge pop hit into a club bouncer... As in it will make you bounce, not refuse you entry becuase you are too young, or are dressed like a chav. But chavs arent cool.....

Don't Upset The Rhythm - Noisettes (Kissy Sell Out Remix)
Kissy's remix turns the original quirky track from being a catchy little number into a dirty banger - Great success!!

Finally, From The 'Remix After All' Album I take the track Television Rules the Nation in the Dirty Disco Youth Remix.

Keep the beat Alive y'all

Zoooiiink!

What with the tides flowing and the moonbeams showing, work is no fun and blogging is clearly much more fun. I too am hungry, but alas farewell they shall have to wait.

I have just got my paws onto a new mix by 'Dale Castell', one of the hottest DJs around from the north: Find him on Facebook

There it shows you what how and why he blends the tunes he does, and he does do just that magnificently.

i like it when the bass comes in...

I Want These Jeans =]

music is good.
summer is fucking awesome.
and its all just about kicking off. =]

The Presets - Talk Like That

a fooookin oldie, but realised i've not posted about it yet and it definitely deserves a mention on here. Its classic Presets stuff. Electro-fueled indie, with a catchy as fuck chorus.

Don Diablo & Example - Hooligans (A1 Bassline Remix)

Filthy, Bass-driven, remix that makes you feel oh-so socially unacceptable. Fuckin brilliant stuff.

AC Slater - Hello! (B. Rich Refix)

This song is the whole point of this post... I'm sorry, but my partner in crime DEFINATELY uploaded the wrong remix. i mean i dont mean to show people up like this all the time, but its so damn hard when you're THIS good. Fuckin BASS HEAVY shit.

Röyksopp - Poor Leno (Röyksopp's Istanbul Forever Take)

Great remix of a classic track. made it a lot less chilled techno, and a bit more dancable electro/techno. Really like what they did with it.

Friendly Fires - Paris (Aeroplane Remix Feat. Au Revoir Simone)

Yes, i know i'm about 2 years late with this one, but for some reason i only just listened to the full thing, and found it was actually incredible.

love.

What-the-chunk?? Sunday Six II

Sunday - sunday - sunday - sunday - sunday -some day... six for sunday!

AC Slater - Hello (Heartache Remix)

AC is playing leeds this fine evening, and I am looking very muchos forward to seeing him, should be impressive what with wobbly basslines and fidgety wompage.
This track is the epitomy of his style... great success

Steve Angello & Laidback Luke - Show Me Love (AC Slater Remix)

This track came to the forefront of the dance scene towards the latter end of 2008. The unfortunate use of Radio 1 killed the track a little bit, but this remix is wildly different to the Radio 1 edit. Still sort of faithful, but absolutely HUGE.

Prodigy - Omen (Clockwork Remix)
The Prodigy also are playing Leeds, this time at Leeds Fest .. reasonably excited, and maybe a little too excited. Anyway, a wonky remix of their new track, keeps it faithful, and although slowed down, retains the essence of the original track, although now turned into a nice electro house gem.

Daft Punk - Technologic (Kids at the Bar Remix)

Daft Punk's new album 'Remix After All' is getting boned all over the blogosphere. If you are unsure of what this is, basically lots of blogs got together and picked DJs they felt would remix a Daft Punk track well. The results have been compiled and are available all over the internet now. Unofficial but still OK.
This track is my favourite off the album, keeps the structure of the track similar, but turns an already mucky track to a banger.

Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor (Curses! Remix)

Curses are having a hugely successful 2oo9, having remixed Bart B More, Djing with him, and across America, Australia and Europe this summer, with a residency in Ibiza this summer.
This remix had been kept fairly quiet, but we at shit taste love to find the rare tracks ayyy??

Laurent Wolf - No Stress (Original Club Mix)
I Don't want to work today, maybe I just want to stay, just take it easy, because theres no stress.....

Lots and lots of love (and ting)

always with yourself/

chilllaaaxxxxx brother.

take a seat.

give yourself some time.

you deserve it.

lean back.

listen to these:

We Vs Death - Pictures From Stanford

Brilliant indie-prog to chill to. Mint drummer, and so well written its insane.

Röyksopp - Poor Leno

Everyone knows it, even if they don't know it yet. Brilliant music to sit back and nod your head to.

Two Door Cinema Club - Something Good Can Work

A very distinct sound which i immediately fell in love with. Its like a chilled out foals. brilliant music.

Sneaky Sound System - It's Not My Problem (Thin White Duke Remix)

Brilliant track not quite as laid back as the others, but if you're in the chillin mood it definitely fits in.

Röyksopp - Dead To The World

The most lullaby track i think i've ever heard. Apparently not for everyone, made my mate cringe, but i think its fuckin beautiful. i've actually fallen asleep to thiis like 5 times.

We Plants Are Happy Plants - Sailing In A Dreamboat

Mint track. Full stop.

I've tried to leave out the obvious ones like In For The Kill Skream remix and Radiohead's "no Suprises"

hope you like.

i'm jus' a kid.

Chiddy chiddy bang bang.

A lot of shit happens in a year.

shit-taste is re-born.

and we got some bangers/.

Chiddy Bang - Kids (ft. MGMT)

This is actually my favourite rap record since Lupe Fiasco's "Go Go Gadget Flow".
And that's fuckin' time.

Superpowerless - Wasted My Time

This guy is actually from Leeds. Which is also my home turf. sick tune. He uses his gameboy to make his songs. Pretty sick stuff.

Mille - Crysteena

This is like Redial except with some crazy 60's bounce influence. Its pretty.

Drop.The.Face - Chaos

Sick electro track with mental vocals over the top.

Bombay Bicycle Club - Always Like This

If you're into indie, and you haven't yet heard this, you're a whore.

Röyksopp - Vision One

Röyksopp recently became well know to the MTV culture with their track "Happy Up Here" which is actually the track i first heard by them (quite naively apparently), but is definately not their best. After finding all their albums and giving each song the time each one deserves, i decided this one was definately a keeper. I have nothing but praise of this band.

The BloodyBeetroots - We Are From Venice (La Serenissima)

The original was completly sick. and then this came out, and i dont think i've even thought about listening to the original since. well appart from just now when i realised i'd not listened to the original and therefore kinda of accidentally thought about listening to the original. SICK TRACK.
